My wife is happy I have something to keep me out of trouble. One day after she had spent some time on the back of my bike she said, "This is the first time in a long time I haven't felt like a boring soccer mom". Within like 2 weeks we had bought her a bike of her own. I guess that feeling like a soccer mom feeling won't be coming back too soon. Now I guess she's a "wild biker woman".

i love these stories...especially the "wifemax" seems like most of us are pretty lucky and the other halves don't seem to mind too much.

The wife's been eyein all the stuff coming from the UPS man, she's used to it now, after 18 years and about 15 cars and 10 bikes I think she has resigned it's who I am . I think she's a keeper! I did try and teach her how to ride my Sportster years ago and it didnt go so good. I need to find a small Virago 250 or something similar on the cheap to let her learn on (and take the MSF course). Would love for us to be able to ride together, and it is an excuse to buy another bike.......

Those MSF guys and gals can teach anyone to ride, when I went through the course there were three older women that had never sat on a bike in there life and when we were done, they were riding around like they knew what they were doing. I was impressed.
And your right, get her riding and a new scoot is on the horizon

Bluespring,
  • My wife is now riding my old bike, the one I learned how to rid on. It is a 2007 Honda Shadow VLX. It is a great little bike. She rides it about 100 a day 4 days a week to school on I-95. She was wanting a 250 rebel or something similar. But none of the dealerships would sell them to her when they found out that I had a 600cc that she could ride. So we just bought a 1700 for me....LOVE THE * and she loves her Shadow...the smaller bikes are a little harder to find these days though with gas prices the way they are...

My wife doesn't mind this site or the internet in general as that is how we met 10 years ago she is from Pittsburg and I am From Ga.As for the constant stream of boxes etc. our honeymoon and reception was an internet meet and greet at a motel that was attended by a Vietnam Vet biker group we had a blast never been to a wilder reception 50 people with us 50 or so bikers and the local police ... and no problem the fact that I order my cigars via the internet kinda helps hide whats in the box ...Coug
