If you read the story, it weighed in at 225 AFTER it was field dressed. Now that's a good size buck! Someone's going to have a story to tell for a long time.

I saw the interview on TV, this guy was so calm, the reporter even sort of joked about it. He just got the BIG one and acted like it was just another deer I would have still been crapping my pants.

The picture of the deer in the tree above the hunter in the stand explains why I never see any deer. So that's how I'm missing them! I sure see em' when I'm riding the R* though!

I am not taking ANYTHING away from this guy and a great trophy deer, but I have to say that where I come from we don't hunt for trophy's we hunt for meat to feed our family, I was raised in a family in Montana that we depended heavily on our hunting to eat through-out the year. We were by no means poor but on the other hand we were not rich either. Again that is a good size deer but in Montana and several other western states our Mule Deer AVERAGE 175 to 300 lbs with a trophy as high as 400 lbs. Again not taking anything from this man but another thought is that antlers are not edible.

Case in point Mule deer taken in Montana
