I have mostly been lurking around the delphi forums (Road Star Riders, Road Star Project, Twin City Star Riders etc.) I have made a few posts, but mostly just soaking in the mass quantities of knowledge available.

I mean, you know that people do things like that on the outside, but seeing the face of the guy who gets on his bike and motors home every morning, enjoying the wind and sun would make me crazy.

I park right up front and always have a few guys stop me and comment on how nice a ride I have. It gives some of them a glimpse of what they could have if they were to stay out long enough.

Hello Everyone!
I'm a reservoir engineer for one of the Big-Bad Oil Companies. I live and work in Cairo, Egypt but Alaska is my home. Last summer I bought the bike of my dreams, a 2007 R* and I managed to put 1000 miles on it in the 2-1/2 weeks I had before I came back to Egypt. Now I'm back in the desert surfing the net trying to find all of the great mods to put on the bike during my next homeleave. I only get 4 weeks of homeleave each year, so I want to spend as much timeas possible riding.

In case you were wondering, a reservoir engineer works as part of a team helping to develop oil & gas reservoirs; Picking drilling locations, evaluating enhanced recovery techniques, project economics, etc. and I am NOT responsible for the gas price...talk to OPEC and your congressmen about that!

Sorry no pictures of the bike. I spent all of my time riding and not taking pictures... maybe next summer!

Brandon

Purchasing Clerk for A Surface Mining Operation in Southwestern West Virginia. Occasionally I get to drive a 785B Cat Rock Truck. Thats what I really want to do all the time. Mostly I run parts to mechanics, run the forklift, take care of the warehouse. I do a little purchasing when the purchasing agents off or I'm at another one of our jobs filling in for Vacations and stuff. Its great fun paying 60,000 dollars for one tire lol. In my one day I have off a week and the other week 2 days off I spend ALL of my time on my bike. 2652 miles since I bought the bike on July3rd. (Bought it on Miners Vacation fourth of July week). Thats pretty much it for me.

In order to keep the wife and 5 daughters happy and still have some money for my scoot, I drive airplanes for a major US airline.

Good friend of mine lives in Chanhassen...we were there last summer (a few days before that terrible bridge collapse) and the Minneapolis area is a great place! Just missed meeting up with Musky who is also local...you might grab him for a ride

I have many hats and incomes.

2) I sell computers for a local custom computer company, also Dells, everything from the mouse up to entire networks.
3) I also own my own company doing Absentee Home care, security inspections, lawn care, snow removal and a lot more.

24+ year Fire Captain here, got a couple more till I can retire do to my age, then I'll probably get in our DROP program. EMT, Tech Rescue Team, etc... Testing for Batt. Chief later this spring. I"ve done a lot of different things on my days off through the years: hauled propane, cement powder, Hancor pipe, green beans, local construction supervisor for Habitat for Humanity, my own construction company, chimney sweep company, and last but not least was our IAFF Local President for 6+ years till last July when I decided not to run again. Whew!!!
