If they ever compile a list of the ten greatest "truths", this would be close to the top.

LOL that is so true

When I was buying my last one I called my insurance guy and told him I bought a boat and needed insurance

He said let me tell you a little story...

"There was this guy who had unexpectedly come into 250 grand
He always wanted a boat so he went down to the marina and plunked down 50 grand on a boat. He promptly hit a reef and lost the boat.

Well he always wanted an airplane so he plunked down 100 grand on an airplane but he crashed it.

He then met a beautiful young girl, it was great for a week or two but then she took off with his last 100 grand and now he's broke"

I said... so what does that have to do with me?

He said "because whether it floats, flies, or f*cks... you're better off renting it"

LOL yup but V-Star's suck at fishing and they are just too slow at getting across the lake

Seriously I will never be without a boat, I have two in the driveway right now and I live in the middle of the desert
I'd rather be without a car.

Re:I'm Torn 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I had a Cruisers Vee Express 30ft (not as new as the one your showing) but I loved it, hated to get rid of it, was NOT a happy day for me except I got twice what I paid for it I really miss sleeping on it and the crowds at the marina were always fun, sort of like a meet & greet everyday. Boaters are a lot like bikers, there is a certain community that will bend over backwards to help another out. (except some stuck ups who have way too much money to help out).

I know the walk around is better if your just going to fish, but the Express can be fished from too, and you have all the comforts of a cottage, plus a tax break. Yep, if you own a boat and it has a toilet, you can consider it a second residence and deduct the interest just like you do a home!
