You ever feel like you missed your calling? 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago

Or, maybe you should have done that thing you thought about doing when you were twenty years old? Geez, looking at these shows like American Pickers and restoration this and that... I always liked buying other people's junk and selling it. Did pretty good with some stuff, when I was younger. Even thought about starting a wrecking yard before I got out of the Marine Corps, back in the 80's.
Wouldn't it be great to go back and do it again?

Naah... I wouldn't be who I am today had I not made the mistakes I made, held the jobs I held, learned the things I've learned, lived the life I have. I always seek to learn something. I wish I had a 10k s/ft garage/shop tho, on 40 acres, and didn't have to work. I mostly wish that I could help people more.
I get the pack rat thing and junk collecting tho, one man's trash is another man's treasure. I have a hard time getting rid of anything

I actually AM living the dream! I wanted to be an aircraft mechanic since I was 12 years old, and still love it today. Could I potentially make more cash doing somethig else? Maybe. Would I enjoy something else more? Maybe, but I would find a way to make a job out of it! Seriously, I wish I had about 100 personal decisions back with hindsight, but my "calling" is my career.

When I was 22, I was offered a job by Cisco Systems out here in Northern California. They were still a small company that most people never heard of and wanted me to startup their inside sales organization. At the last minute they decided to move the department to South Carolina for cost savings reasons. The position was still mine if I wanted it, but at that age, for a young single guy who'd grown up in California, the prospect of living in SC was not very enticing, so I turned it down. Do you realize there are secretaries who'd worked for them back then that are now *millionaires*?! I'd be a freakin *millionaire*!!!! ... *stuipid* ...*stupid* ...*stupid* dumb, young moron!

I wouldn't change a damn thing!
except maybe that one time with that married chick and her jealous husband and the ensuing shootout... aww f*ck it, even that was fun

I dunno,, I been in healthcare for 30+ years, so I'm kinda partial,,,,But, I've got to first hand, see with my own eyes, bona fied, documented, without a doubt, holy shit,,,,, miracles,,,,,, not many can say that.... I have had little old ladies pat my hand thank-you and bless my heart, and little girls hug me in fear cuz their daddys at work,, then ten minutes later I wiped the snot from a old mens chin , then hugged the grandpa who just watched the plug being pulled from his grandson. , and wouldnt trade one mintue of it for nothing. Although one thing I have learned, and you can quote me " breathing is better, than not breathing" rd
