Great Customer Support 11 Months ago
I have an older (almost 10 years old) Shop-Vac. The front caster dolly is cracked and won't hold the caster in place. The dolly has been discontinued and there are none available. Called the Shop-Vac customer support line and talked to Sharon. They are sending me, free of charge, new alternate casters to see if they will work. They could have just as well said, "We're sorry, but there is no replacement." We are all very quick to announce when bad service is given. I just want to give a quick nod and shout to Shop-Vac for gettting it right.

Wow! that's like, 1 in a row!

This level of customer appreciation should not be the exception in a consumerist society.

Bravo Shop-Vac.

I know that what they are sending me may not work. If it doesn't, my replacement will be a Shop-Vac just because they tried to help.

I have worked on OtterBox's 20 Million dollar jet that they paid for with your 50 bucks a pop phone holsters!

They are nice people. Gave everyone in the shop with an I-phone one of their models when were doing an inspection on the aircraft, just because they saw the shop manager break his in front of them. They carry quite the warranty, I'm told. Fifty dollar piece of plastic, I'm going to check that out if I buy one!

2 in a row!

Anybody else (less than 3 months old, please)

I can add one more.

I have a tonneau cover for my truck made by Rugged. It's a tri-fold cover that clips to hold it secure when folded. On occasion, I have forgotten to clip it in place. When that happens, at about 45 mph, the wind catches it and rather forcefully unfolds it. On numerous occassions, Rugged has sent me the replacement parts for free. They truly understand word of mouth advertising.

You have to admit, that's above and beyond if it's kinda "on you".

I just remembered one of my own. have 10 (!!) Ceiling fans in my house we built 6 years ago, 8 made by Craftmade. The one in the master bedroom lost it's start/run capacitor (they are all brushless motors).
I called about it to Coppell, Tx, where the international office is. Took a couple of days to get a call back, but they told me it might be. Tech guy called and asked what was up. I told him. He started to send me repair parts, then said, how old is it? I told him 6 years, and he told me to take 2 good images of it, and peel the label off the top and send them in, and he would just send me a whole new fan! This is a $225.00 fan! 8 days later, new fan, and a follow-up call to make sure all was good. Asked about shipping the old one back, he said "keep it, it's broke, and you can use the blades on any of your 52 inch fans for spares!

+1 Craftmade!

Who else? This is the "feel good" thread of the day!

I had a good experience with the Kohler Co. recently. We had our home built about 10 years ago and all the plumbing trim is Kohler brand. Our master bath shower valve started to leak and would drip by when shut off.I had trouble trying to find the part # for the control valve we had and I called Kohler cust support. The lady I spoke with said remove the trim and take a picture of the valve and send it in to her and she would let me know.Well off the picture went and 15 minutes later I get a call back with the info and also that they will send me the mixer and main control internals-NO CHARGE.Nice to know there are still company's that stand behind there product.Installed the new guts and all is fine.

Are those ceramic valves? I would expect it. They do cost more, but are worth it. We have hard water, and sometimes they will get deposits built up, but we clean them with muratic acid.

We have ALL of the reciepts and literature from building the house in a big folder, and it is invaluable down the road for stuff like that.
