Regarding Dragger Seats 5 Years, 10 Months ago
Hey Everyone,
I'm proud to say that I purchased a "Dragger Seat" for my 2006 Road-Star. Just submitted as some feedback for you... (Not an advertisement)

1. the seat looks awesome. its a real head turner when the bike is just sitting parked. in the two weeks I'v had it on, I've received at least a dozen compliments and comments on it. In short it is a focal point that gets the bike noticed.

2. the ordering process, Alex (Dragger seat's owner) is an absolutely terrific guy to work with. He's is a star rider himself so he is emotionally and intimately attached to this piece of machinery that we all love.
Also he is fast responding and will communicate with you and answer your questions throughout the process.

3. limited production. fact is they only turn out two seats a month, so there was defiantly a waiting period, but the plus is that I'm pretty sure I have the only Dragger seat in New Jersey!

4. Shipping, the seat arrived well packaged with the company logo on the package, all the parts were included (I op-ted for the chrome horn bolt kit $50) The quality of the seat itself was exceptional and was well wrapped for the mail ride.

5. installation, ***Read The Instructions*** The only tricky part was fitting the seat on. I took the liberty of ditching the tool kit and "Snapping off" the helmet hook (Useless part in my opinion. I then used touch-up paint to go over the area where the hook once was. The seat lined up just like a factory part but required a little force to fit it into place. Using the left-Knee helped!

6. ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT.... The exposed frame on my Roadie is rough, its painted black but has a little orange peel effect on it. (I suppose Yamaha never expected any kind-of seat quite like this one) If and when I have the bike painted I will address this straight away. But for now I'm pleased as could be with the overall look. (Check out attached pic) I will try and upload some real full color shots later.

7 Comfort of the ride... Look I'm no "HARD ASS" but Im liking the ride, I cant even begin to compare this bike to my former Royal Star, so I wont even try. My intention for this bike is summed up in 3 words Style, Style, Style... After 160 miles I was feeling fine in the lower back and legs. One side note, I lowered my handlebars 4-6 inches (Thats just for me) but it made a difference in the ride.

I hope this was informative enough and answered some questions about the Dragger seat. I would be happy to reply to any additional questions anyone has.

~S

Thanks Skelitor!

That is the type of feedback we were looking for. Very well put together!

I took the liberty of reducing the pic size you posted just a little.

Thanks!!

WOW! Thanks for the kind words Skelitor!

I just added a new feature to my seats as of yesterday! All my seats from now on will come equipped with an adjustible front latch. This way you can adjust how hard you need to press on the nose of the seat to get it to latch and unlatch.

Thanks Again!

Im glad that the "Review" was to your liking. and sorry for the giant pic. I rust resized a bunch of pics of the "Dragger Seat" on my slightly-less then stock RoadStar. You can see what a differance this seat really makes!

Ps I'm shooting for the After pic in my sig... Looking for some raked and stretched Trees and forks now!

Skelitor, great review. I run an '05 Midnight and have been looking at these seats for a while now. The only thing is that I"m a big rider at 5'9" 280 pounds and am not sure how well the seat will fit me. I'm also in New Jersey, close to East Brunswick area. Where are you located? I'd love to maybe get a chance to sit on your ride to see how the seat felt, if you wouldn't mind. Anyways, thanks for the review and let me know where you are from. Talk to you....Scott
