Musky , a very aggresive and wiley fish i enjoy catching. Thanks for the hint on the tranny recall. Called right away. The local Yami dealer was helpful and the recall was done already. Have missed recalls on used vehicles, so again thank-you.

Pop rivet: Checked out your site, the Cobra pipes look good and the web site sounds prob don't do them justice. My local Yami dealer has many stock used pipes and if I need to go back it is not too pricey, I will re-jet this weekend and if the snow holds off I will be off on another ride. What jetting did you go with for the stage 3? ANd also for the CObra pipes as well?

Musky is right.. jetting is not required and you could get too rich with these 1700 R* s
I didnt touch the carb settings and with the Megacone even Yamaha doesn't suggest rejetting.. just PMS adjustment.. dont touch the carb if you are doing stage 3
unless you are getting performance indications of a lean condition ..

O.K. So one quick question just to make sure.... I'm putting the cobra classic deluxe pipes on a stock '04' bike except for drilling the stock airbox. I DONT need to rejet, only adjust?

Well the pipe mod sounds great, however on my Sunday ride the upper pipes baffle came completely out, She is smooth and clean inside. I am having a bugger of a time getting the lower pipe cleaned out, the insulation as well as the material is causing some problem. A slide hammer, sawzall, vice grips, etc. are not enough. Will try a larger slide hammer tomorrow. Any advice from fellow Roadie owners would be great. I am going to make a baffle for each pipe once I get it sorted out, as it is way too loud and there is no back pressure at all. It pops when you let off the throttle.

Have you removed the AIS?

If not, take it off and most of you popping will be gone.

If you have already taken the AIS off, try turning the PMS out 1/4 turn.
