swingarm conversion 5 Years, 2 Months ago  
Hello , I have a 2001 Roadstar,and have had my swingarm modified for a ME880-240/40VR18 my question is , can I use an 8.5 " wheel without any trouble,or what should I use?

What is the rim width now? Are you going to run the same size tire?

Its a stock wheel that came on the bike,the tire is stock also 150 but I am going to the 240...

What did you have modified?

You're also going to need an offset front pulley and the narrower belt.

Go to Looney's Forum on Delphi. There's lots of guys who have gone to the wide tires and can give you more detailed advice.

I had the swingarm modified by Broward motor sports for the 240 mm tire.

Well I tried Looneys they only said I should have bought it there. Guess they are only in it for the money?

I find it unusual that they would not answer your questions.

Did you go to the Forum or to Looney seat site (http://www.looneyseats.com/)?
