I'm thinking of removing portions of the inner fender and build fender stays on the outside like the Warrior has. Any body get brave enough to do that yet? I already checked and the Warriors won't fit. Seems to me that you could get rid of the upper bolt and part of the "horn" if you had beefy enough fender stays on the outside that bolted through the fender and subframe. A number of bikes appear to be set up that way. Between fender, sissy bar, occasional gear it would have to hold maybe 200 pounds tops (wife is 125-130 smart a**). If you look at the size of those stays on teh Warrior they could carry that easy!

I spent this Sunday having the fender bracket re-welded. Saturday coming back from a ride, the fender fell on to the tire and starting rubbing. Wasn't to far from home so not too much rubber loss. Must be quite common on 99' to 04' models.
