Mr. Tidy's Tailight Mod 2 Years, 5 Months ago
Just wondering if anyone has done Mr. Tidy's Tailight mod on an 06 Roady? I briefly looked at the difference between the 06 and the older style tube type turn signal brackets. The wiring on the 06 snakes in and out of the brackets. I think it still can be done but it may take more effort and head scratching. I would like to beat Kuryakyn out of $100 if I can. Any thoughts?

Sorry, it is the tailight conversion to change the rear turn signals to running/turn signals by changing the sockets to accept red 1157 bulbs.

I don't know the answer to your question, but you may want to be careful about following the instructions to the letter. I think some of the wire colors may have changed through the years.

I did it on my 04 a couple months ago and it worked great, had to get the red bulbs off ebay could not get the led to blink at the right speed but the pair of 1157 red bulbs on ebay were really cheap. Hope that helps ya out.

I bugged the wires and found the bulbs at PepBoys. I am not sure about whether the sockets will fit or not. I guess that will be a project for a rainy day. Thanks all.

I changed the middle chrome piece in mine at the same time to a chunk of shower rod from Lowes, but the sockets fit in the lollipops according to the Mr. Tidy Tip.

The stock bulbs are Stanley ones and the nubs are not opposite of each other they are like 12 o'clock and 5 o'clock - stupid.

Metric bikes take a special bulb, a PR21W. Those thing online are about $13.00 for 2. I am going to change the sockets and use red 1157 bulbs at about $4.00.
