Roadies run rough until they are warmed up. How do you use the choke when you start it? Do you twist the throttle when you start it? What is your warm up routine? Any mods done to the bike?

MMMM my warm routine starts pulling the choke full then a little twist to the throttle, set the neutral gear and start, after that the roadie goes like I already told to you, the modification I`ve done is just the AIS removal about 10 days ago, no more mods to it

Don't touch the throttle before you start it. Try starting it with the choke half way out. Are you riding with the choke all the way out?

Before you start riding make sure the choke isn't more than half way out (and less would be better). Too much choke can make these bikes unhappy.

Take off the aircleanr and mist some top end cleaner such as MMO, Seafoam, RingFree, through the carb for about 30 seconds. You'll need to rev the engine up to about 1500 rpms and don't mist too much in.

After 30 seconds, let the revs return to normal and mist enough to stall the engine out. Leave overnight and star the next morning.

It should run very rough for a while but improve after a couple of miles.

What are the specs on your bike re aftermarket parts and carb jettting?

Thank you DocShadow I really don`t know to much about specs , this bike cross the border it came from Arizona it looks like the owner was a fireman from there, he o maybe she made some changes he set stuff like the cobra pipes, passenger sissy bar ,driver backrest, windshield, K&N air filter, crome plate holder, lugage bar, I think he had to change jet, install a little trailer pull, customized rear lights,106,000 miles ran I guess on the high way. I really don`t know if this bike has another jett kit I`m wondering why the first time I started enginge yesterday it blew flames from the pipes. Do I can buy that MMO cleaner maybe just in the USA, well I have El paso near my city but it takes a little time to cross to there.Waht is RingFree and Seafoam

MMO, RingFree, and Seafoam are all top end cleaners - valve train cleaners. If you can't get these brands then there are others that will do a similar job. I have about 4 or 5 different ones in the garage but my preference (for not particular reason) is MMO.

You need to try and clean up the valve area without ripping the heads off and doing it. A top end cleaner may be able to do the trick but you have a lot of miles on the bike (108 k) so who knows. Try doing it twice. If you do it before you put the bike away for the day you can easily leave it overnight.

My understanding is that it has run for you for ? miles and all of a sudden it running it seems to be missing, backfiring and shooting occasional flames? You have not changed anything in the meantime?
