What year bike do you have? The 05 and up Roadies have the better system.

Stator; 5VN-81410-01-00
Rectifier; 5VN-82960-00-00

Clifford,

I appears you've been looking at my article. Thanks.

I have the part numbers you need on the second page of that article. Musky is right, if you're going to go with Yamaha parts. Electro Sport part numbers are also listed in the article.

Just in case you've misunderstood, the stock part numbers for the '05 (and up) Road Stars are considered high output parts for the earlier bikes. There is not an upgrade to an even higher output stator than this, that I am aware of.

If you've got more questions, ask away.

Again, thanks.

I went to Electro Sport and they don't have Stators for any year R*, 1600/1700 in stock, I think it said they were discontinued. They do have the Rectifiers, higher than OEM Yamaha prices. Are they going out of business? Do you have any leads to someone else that might carry the Stators? I have haligon road lights on my bike that I haven't been able to use for 4 years because they kill the battery.

If you call Electro-Sport ask for Evan. They have a high output stator in the works. They made a prototype and sent it to me for road testing. It is good and they are putting it into production, I don't know how long it will take to have them on the market. I can assure you that it is much superior to the original on my 03. If you don't want to wait try Rick's motorsport Electrics, Hampstead, NH 8005210277.

Randy, I have to say "thanks" for your articles. I followed your write-ups for the stator install/upgrade and for the nemesis coil install this year.
