suggestions ??relocation of rectifier 4 Years, 2 Months ago
Last year I removed AIS & lenghtened the wiring for the rectifier 2005 R*. I mounted the rectifier down low in front of the starter. It looks better than stock but I would like to hide it all together. Any tips from anyone on locations they have mounted it so It's hidden and still get enough air for cooling???

Folks have put it in different locations, most often:

- between the upper and lower swingarm on the left side
- behind the battery between the swingarm

If put behind the battery it will not be cooled but the folks who did this did not indicate that they had any problems.

Hi Doc. Thanks for the reply. I was thinking this morning about between the upper and lower swing arms on the left side, but I'm worried about it being between the drive belt.
I do like the idea of behind the battery between the swing arm. I just might have enough wiring to do it without re-wiring again.
I siliconed around the protective cover to try and keep water out. Didn't have any problem last year. I think I’ll go for behind the battery.

Thanks for the tips.
