At least not yet. Probably need some more evaluation time. I assume you did this with the 2.5 valve assembly. the thing is the 2 to 3 lbs pressure the pump puts out is forcing the float to allow a little more gas in the bowl that gravity feed can't do.. Expert Boarder Posts: 467 Re:Change Float Bowl Needle Valve 6 Months, 1 Week ago   Suggestion: Set your bike up as level as you can. Turn off the petcock and remove the fuel hose. Get a new piece of hose long enough to hang into a can and turn on the fuel. (Not on reserve) If you get good flow then plug on your fuel filter and see what kind of flow you get through it. May need a new filter or maybe a different brand that flows better. Basically you just want to narrow done WHERE the problem is. Tank, filter or carb.   Logged     2006 Midnight. I had the hose off the carb with no filter on and the fuel flows really well. So I will check it with the filter on and see what that does. I hate to raise the float anymore because it is already at the rear mating surface of the bowl or even a little higher... Like I just mentioned in the earlier post, I will check the filter. Must be in the carb. On the idle circuit its fine, and when I increase the RPM and hold it there while sitting in the garage its fine, but when I start to open the throttle while moving, the bike starts to stutter, then it backfires a few times, then dies completely. Then it takes a while before I can start it. I'm trying to stay in good spirits here..... but I'm starting to lose hope. I wonder When I ran it in the garage I kept the clear hose on the drain pipe and watched the fuel level, and it dropped a little but never went way down.
