What's that sound? 6 Months ago
After being in the clinic for any length of time, we start to hear questions from new Star owners who are asking similar questions about the same things... the noises a RoadStar will make...
The questions are; There's a knock here or a buzz there... should this be doing that?
To address these questions and maybe a few more... I put my own stock '06 Star in front of a camera and microphone... and created this video... See if you can hear anything familier...
It's about 6 minutes long so grab a drink and enjoy...

Thanks for the great video, it really helps to know what sounds are normal and what to expect if something goes awry. Other than my own, I've never seen or heard another R* up close before...guess I live a pretty sheltered life

Yep! I got em all on my 06 . The chirps, the pings, the notorious floorboard scrape. Outstanding job on the sounds in the video. It put me a little more at ease knowing that they are normal .

nicely done!!!! nice to be able to compare what's normal or not with all the growls, whirrrs, chirps of our beasts we all love... and that their inherently normal for our machines.

I got one more noise. It's the sound of my pipes (Shogun Classics) scraping on a sharp right turn or when I go from a driveway down to the street level. Other than that they're all pretty much there. Very good video. Thanks a lot!
