Only problem is that you're south of the border. Just imported the Eagles bike last year, what a bitch that was.

Viragos are nice bikes
I had an 1100 before the roadie
Low which is good if she is shorter
Her feet can touch the ground
And they have some Power
For a small bike

i wouldnt get anything less then a 650.... after a month she will realize just how lacking they are, especially when she is riding with you and your R.
v-star 650 classic white...... beautiful looking bike and can do heaps of customizing, should do her for a few years and then they seem to keep their value so should be easy to sell when she gets a real bike (R)

We have had 3 Virago's over the years. Started the wife off on a 750,less than a year later she moved to 1100. Started my son out on 1100. Never a problem with any. There was only about 20 lb's weight difference. So I would go with a larger bike. Let her take the rider course first. Hour or 2 in an empty lot and she'll be set. This is a steal.

She's already registered with RTI, doing the course in May.
A bigger bike means a lot more in insurance. I did a brief search: $1500 for a 650 V-star. That is crazy! Wonder if it's cheaper to put me as the main driver and her as secondary.

My wife started out on the back and oved onto a Shadow 750 ACE... Was a great bike, reliable, enough giddy up to get anywhere and was cheap. I'd say be careful about going too small, they'll outgrow it before a season is up.
