Did the R-B-T lighting to the bike today..(thanks Bigbad)... anybody know what model the rear bulbs are? And can I do a "filing off job" to a different bulb Musky.
you can use clear 1156 bulbs in the rear..again just file one of the lower nibs..
I replaced my front lenses with amber
and rear lense red from KURY after I put in the rtb... filed lower nib from clear 1157 bulbs for the front and filed 1156 s for the rear..work great
what a difference in the daytime with the coloured lenses and clear bulbs......
Next and most important ...paint the rear tailight red.... BIG difference...with Musky's lens paint or Krylon translucent red stained glass paint...
here is a pic of the rear of my bike with only the sun reflecting on the lights ...the lights and ignition on the bike are are OFF

if ya flip up the rear fender yo can figure it out...its the hard way..did that way with mine..it is not a separate lense but a sealed entire unit...and you can separate it from the chrome bezel..but only after the light has been separated from the fender...
Do as Musky did and as I did with bushrs bike ..get some masking tape and lots of newspaper.....leave the light on the bike...
Mask around the lense roughly overlapping the tape......then exacto knife it out...lots of paper for overspray...go lightly just a few coats and
voila..its the easier way
you can get the spray paint at a crafts store...

I know you have decided on changing the lenses to colored lenses and that is fine. I am going to list path I took when my front turn signal went out on my '07 R*. I have been want to install LED turn signals for my R* because I like the clear lense. I have already install the Kury RTB kit. I looked all over the web for the LED turn lights for the weird sockets that Yami uses. I finally found them, Custom Dynamics has them. It is 48 LED cluster wired to a base that fits the Yami sockets (they have them for front and the rear). At the same time I found a guy who sells parts to RSC members for just 10% over his cost plus shipping. And as luck would have it he sell these LED's and has used them on his bike.
I was a little worried that they would not be bright enough since a friend install LED tail light on his Honda and it is not very bright. When I got them and installed them, my worries were gone. These LED turn signals are so bright that I feel sorry for the people behind me. The front are twice as bright as the bulbs. People have no problem seeing these. All in all, it cost me about $25.00 per turn signal. Yes that may seem a lot but the LED's have a lifetime warranty and I am drawing a lot less current. I should not have to ever replace them.

Hey Pop,
What kind of headlights are on your Star? They seem to have a blueish tint.
