I also have my highway pegs mounted the same as you, I installed the round brake pedal you can see in father pobasturd pic above your original post. Simple install and not in my way anymore, and only 30$ on amazon. Also wanted to mention the round pedal is not to small cuz I haven't missed it yet.

I really like the heel shifter and would never consider cutting/removing it. I have my longhorn pegs placed so that they are almost a rotated extension of the floorboards. I can keep my heels on the boards and put the ball of my foot on the pegs. I can further extend and place my whole foot on the peg. I wear a size 13 shoe/boot.

On the other side, the brake pedal is a real pain. Thank goodness it flips up so I can get my foot under it. At some point I'm going to cut it down so it's not so wide.

That's an aftermarket Hot Rod brake pedal... I have the same. They're real metal, and pretty hefty.

Got a link?

Hey Nick, I found this one on Ebay, around $30.00, in the car section. I just put round brake pedal in the search engine and it came up with a few of them. This one is quite beefy, no need to weld it on, just cut off some of the old pedal mount and drill a hole for the new one. That way you retain the spring action in case the bike falls over on the right side.. I love the look, the old pedal is too industrial looking for me. Besides, it's rectangular. If you look at the Roadstar, there are no rectangles on it elsewhere. Same reason I went with the Stratoliner floorboards.
