I got such a good deal on the R* I couldn't pass on it. I do think the R* is a better looking bike. Sometimes, when I think about getting SVS, I wonder if I made the right choice Don't get me wrong, I love my * , but the SVS is never far from my thoughts. Took a demo ride on one at a rally a few years back and it's an awesome bike. It's the only other bike that made my "short list" when I decided on the Road Star. Until getting the Road Star, I hadn't owned anything but Kawasakis and IMO, they are about as bullet-proof as it comes when talking about motorcycles. Almost bought a Vulcan Drifter just because it reminded me so much of the Indian. But I saw the R* next to it and it was love at first ride.
