Re:What would you ride if you didn't have a Roadstar 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
well it most certainly wouldn't be a new harley! I would own a harley if i found a good deal on a used one, but i refuse to pay those ridiculous high prices for an inferior product compared to what the metrics offer.

i probably would have a honda vtx...its in the same price range, and it is a considerable price increase to move up to the yamaha *liners.

side note...just got my new v-twin and there are 3 or 4 roadies featured in it. the roadie is by far the most prominent metric for customizing.

That's easy! I want a Harley Cross Bones and in 2012 I'll get one. I want a 2013 model year but I can wait. However, if in the maen time something happened to my bike I would have one within a week.

Always wanted an ElectraGlide Ultra. But I don't have a budget for that. Now I like the new Yamaha Raider. But I can't ride two at once.

Funny when you think about it. At the cost of a New harley dresser. You could own a New Roadstar AND Raider..

Re:What would you ride if you didn't have a Roadstar 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Last weekend my wife and I were down in Manchester, NH and we happened to be going by the Harley dealer, so we stopped to have a look around. My wife told me she would be a lot more likely to ride with me if it were on an ultra classic dresser (I have been wanting her to go riding with me for a while). There were some beautiful ones there, but all with Harley price tags on them :/ Maybe when I retire I can afford a harley. Actually .... I bet I could turn my Roadstar into a dresser with custom paint for less than the Harley price ... Don't think I am going to do that for a while though ... I kind of like the simple lines of the R*

It just kind of surprised me that she would endorse me buying a Harley!

BTW .... we were in there for a half hour looking at a lot of different bikes, and even sitting on a few, but the whole time none of the sales people even acknowledged our presence. Guess they don't need our money after all ... lol

Akela - that's the typical response you get at HD dealers here in Houston. It's one thing for a product to have an exorbitant price tag but the salespeople should at least kiss up.

As for what to ride - the new CVOs from HD sure look snazzy. Of course these are more price inflated than the regular HDs.
