Carb Float Bowl Screws 4 Years, 9 Months ago

Hi All!

I'm tearing into my carb tonight, to replace the accelarator pump. While there I plan to do a few other things, one of which will be to check my float level. It was recommended that I purchase some new screws, to replace the existing ones for the float bowl.

It was suggested that I replace them with stainless steel hex head.

What I'm trying to confirm is the size of those screws. I've looked at the Yamaha parts catalog, and I'll I was able to find out is the part number. In searching the Tech Articles, I found one place that stated the size as "M4-.7mmx10mm". Can anyone confirm that?

I believe they are M4x10mm according to what I read in a post the other day and I am not sure about the .7mm .....Coug

Thanks. I called the local Dealership and after talking to various different people, that's what I was told, they are M4x10mm. Rooster.
