You'd have to get an HD pulley 'cause there's not such thing for the R*.

Yes ... an HD pulley bolt pattern is almost the same as the R*.

So.......If there is a difference in belt width from the 32 tooth to the 33 tooth pulleys, is there an issue with running the narrower belt on the wider pulley? If you have an 05 like me with a 32 tooth and wanted to swap for a 33, the belt is now a 1/4 inch too narrow.......Problem?

Nope. No problem with the narrow belt on the wider pulley.

I personally would like a six speed. I do a lot of open road and the highway is 75 and most people are doing 85. And at 85 I would like to lower my RPM's a little. Maybe it's not hurting the bike but is sure would not hurt it to turn less RPM's.

I agree; cruising along at lower rpms can't do anything but ease the wear and tear on the machine and the biggest benefit of all... improved mpg.

I would love to have a higher innerstate gear.

Thanks ..... but you can't beat the selection of aftermarket parts, and low prices, that the HD market affords. Hopefully the R* is a long term project for Yamaha so that we can see a similar selection and prices.
