07 Roadstar Exhaust 4 Months, 1 Week ago
I just bought a 07 Roadstar and am getting ready to put on new exhaust. I am leaning towards either Cobra or Bub longshots. I previously had a 99 Roadstar and I had the Bub's on it. I liked the sound but wanted something a little louder but not annoying. I hear V&H are too loud. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciatted. Thanks

Mines not an 07 but has the V&H 2 into 1 and sounds good...... deep and mellow until you get on it then it sounds off a bit but nothing obnoxious.

Re:07 Roadstar Exhaust 4 Months, 1 Week ago
I just put on the V&H longshots HS about 8 months ago. In my opinion they sound good, not too loud but definetly gets noticed. My neighbor across the street said they sound great riding behind me. His HD still has stock exhaust and he admits he's slightly jealous. My brother came down from TX over christmas and said it sounds better than his '08 Road King. He was very impressed by the Roadstar, especially when he heard the price tag.
Bottom line is, picking my exhaust was one of the hardest decisions I made for the bike. I wish I could have heard more options but happy with what I picked. I like the sound and the looks of the V&H.
Good Luck.

My Bub Big Willys are plenty loud but not obnoxious. I just hate how the chrome flakes off of the tips.

I have V&H short shots on my '06 R*, they sound alot like Curt's does. They're not to loud, but they can really talk to you, if you give them a little throttle. My wife even said they weren't toooo loud. My oldest brother has a two into one set of pipes on his R*, '99, and he likes the sound of mine.

After hearing and seeing a number of exhausts here I'm thinking about shaving off about 6 inches from my Shoguns. The sound is nice but it seems to be more of an echo that the true R* sound. Curt's sound as close as I've heard so far.
