Back tire heat 3 Years, 6 Months ago

I recently changed my belt and front pulley (128 tooth belt & 30 tooth pulley). Problem is I have noticed more rear tire wear and assumed it to be failure to maintain a sensible right hand. That assumption of course was after making sure my rear was still aligned. We went for a long haul this weekend and during one stop, I reached down and felt the back tire. This was after a constant 75 mph on the interstate. The tire was almost sticky it was so hot! This is really the first time I've touched a bike tire after cruising speeds. Is this normal?

BTW I'm located in Florida and it was around 90 degrees and overcast.
