I have ridden @ 90 mph for over an hour before and have ridden @ 85 all day. My bike likes anything below 65, or above 80. It seems to ride the roughest at 65-80, so I either ride faster or slower. My new 1700R* i hit about 108 and backed out of it because i was coming over a hill, and because at that point it only had 13 miles on it so i thought i should be some what nice to it.   Logged     The administrator has disabled public write access. #105326 dcoley (User) DC Junior Boarder Posts: 103 Re:Wide Open-- How fast will she go? 4 Months ago   This afternoon I decided that I would see how fast my red roady would go for the first time ever, until today about 100.mph was all I had done on it. The conditions were almost perfect except for the 98° degree heat. There was no wind and the road was flat I hit full throttle at about 80.mph it ran down to 100 pretty quick and was still pulling I duct behind the w. shield for a couple of seconds looked down and the speedo was at 115 maybe 118 no kiddin" I had not hit the rev limiter either I had to let it go because I was coming up on a curve. The only mods I have are pipes and re-jet and b.a.k. I weight 190.lbs, I have to wonder now what will it do when it's 60° outisde in a couple of months. Looking to ask a local cop to clock me to find out for sure. Once she gets over 110, I can't look down to see what we're doing. I looked down once to see the speedo past 120. I didn't, I think if I could have stayed on the throttle I could have gotten 120 also.
