A friend of mine on a honda spirit 1100 wanted to see if he could keep up. We took the bikes up to 96 mph. He did keep up, side by side, but I backed off. He had about reached his limit. I guess he could have made 105 to 110 or maybe even more), but I could have gone a lot faster. An 800 pound bike and my 200 lbs, (1000 lbs) would make an awful mess on anybody's highway when all I really wanted to do was ENJOY THE RIDE.

I try and give the benifit of the doubt to any memeber here (I'm not here to judge, just enjoy ). But I owned a Shadow Spirit 1100. It wouldn't do 100mph going downhill with a 50mph wind at my back...

Top speed on my Roadie so far has been 107, according to the speedo. I have ridden @ 90 mph for over an hour before and have ridden @ 85 all day. My bike likes anything below 65, or above 80. It seems to ride the roughest at 65-80, so I either ride faster or slower. (mostly faster)

I was able to get my old 1600 R* to break the 110 mark many times and that is with windshield bags sissy bar and 375 lbs of me on it. My new 1700R* i hit about 108 and backed out of it because i was coming over a hill, and because at that point it only had 13 miles on it so i thought i should be some what nice to it.

This afternoon I decided that I would see how fast my red roady would go for the first time ever, until today about 100.mph was all I had done on it. The conditions were almost perfect except for the 98° degree heat.

There was no wind and the road was flat I hit full throttle at about 80.mph it ran down to 100 pretty quick and was still pulling I duct behind the w. shield for a couple of seconds looked down and the speedo was at 115 maybe 118 no kiddin" I had not hit the rev limiter either I had to let it go because I was coming up on a curve.

The only mods I have are pipes and re-jet and b.a.k.
I weight 190.lbs, I have to wonder now what will it do when it's 60° outisde in a couple of months.

This isn't something I do often but I have to admit it was fun! ;

All right, I admit, openened her up with a intake, jet and exhaust. 1/4 windshield, no bags, no rider, me at 192lbs. will bury the 120 mph speedo. Looking to ask a local cop to clock me to find out for sure. Once she gets over 110, I can't look down to see what we're doing. I looked down once to see the speedo past 120. Will find out soon.

Did you hit the rev limiter ? I didn't, I think if I could have stayed on the throttle I could have gotten 120 also.

I notice that your bike is red bro" are the red bikes faster ?? anyone ?

Last summer coming back from San Jose Grand Prix, I took it up to 105 and got nervous. It still had more left, but I started thinking about hitting a sparrow or something like it, and was wondering where the County Mountie was taking his lunch break!
