Run what it says on the tires. And then adjust it to suit your riding.

What Musky said. I have the 880's with 5,000 miles and very little signs of wear. I set the air at what it says on the side of the tires.

Thanks, the Stealer wanted $20.00 to Tell me what air pressure I should run and why he thinks the Bridgestone started to cup, if you can beleive that, needless to say I will never go back their. I didn't buy the tires from him so he wasn't much help suckered me 30.00 per tire just to mount I only got screwed on one took the othe one some place else

RoadieSL....
I'm running the Metzler ME880's on my bike as well and have over 8,000 miles on the set. The front is holding up real well, I think I'll get another 10 to 12,000 miles out of it with no problem. I'd say the rear has about 3,000 miles left on it.
I've been running 40 to 42psi in the front and 45psi in the rear.
My tech told me that to figure the right air pressure, to use the same air pressure guage everytime and to raise or lower the air pressure a pound or 2 then go ride for about 10 or 15 minutes, then recheck your air pressure. He told me that if the air pressure in the tire doesn't change by more than a pound, then it's at the right pressure.
So far, it's worked for me......
