Re:Tire Question 4 Months ago
That sounds more like what I've been getting SobaCracka. About six grand out of the Metzler and about three grand on the Dunlop D404 or at least on my rear tires. I get better on the front. There is no doubt that I'm rough on tires but I'm going to keep a lot closer eye on tire pressure this time around because I know that I don't check it often enough.

Yeah, I'm riding Cruisemax, too and have no issues with them.

I lucked out. Just had my rear replaced before I went to star days, with my usual 880 and they quoted me $129.

Try looking here.

Whitewall here for the R* is 149 + tire fee = $154. I paid $155 installed for whitewall rear.

I will keep this site in mind in the future though. Thanks.

I put a Metzler 880 on the rear last year but only got 7,300 miles out of it. Loved the performance, didn't appreciate the durability.

I switched to Dunlop CruiseMax front and rear and, so far, love it! Performance is perfectly good for my style of riding and they pretty much look new still (about 5K on the rear and 8k on the front)

SobaCracka... might want to raise your air pressure a bit when running the Metzler. I had to raise mine to 45psi for the rear tire and 40 to 42psi front. I've got over 8,000 miles on the set so far and they still look good. Almost time for a new rear tire... I figure another 3,000 and I'll put one on.

Just a suggestion.....

Ride safe, ride often.....!
