I have had that done and it makes a huge difference. Don't expect the results of the ultimate, but for the price I found it to be good. I have made 4 over 300 mile trips since I got it and it starts to hurt a little, you stop and get gas, and away you go again with no problem.

Its not THAT bad. We did 650 one day. 700+ the next and then damn near 1000 the following day. Uncomfortable at times, yes.

I tried the sheepskin and found its not quite twice as good as stock. If you can go 150 miles without you might get 225 with. I bought the Ultimate and love it. On monday I did a 275 mile ride and yesterday I did 450 miles and getting ready to do 300 today. When you start to feel it on your backside you can pull over and walk it off. When you hop back on your good to go. I made it from fill up to fill up without stopping for the first 2 fillups, after that about 100 miles and I wanted to get off and walk for a few.

Re:Oh my achin' a......... 4 Months ago
I just got back from Cocoa Beach FL, took me right at 14 hours to get home and figured 680+/- miles one way, my behind was hurtn' but all I was feeln was the sun burn blisters on my back from drinking too much on the beach! I will agree with you guys, I'm thinking of trying out a Corbin seat, I had one on my old Sportster and it made all the difference.......I looked at someones custom painted Roadstar parked outside the Destination Daytona dealership this past Friday, it was a really cool green color and I really liked the seat on it, I wanted to sit on it but didn't see the owner anywhere around and didn't want no fight so I just parked by it while checking out the HD place while my buddy was getting pipes for his HD. By the time I walked back out they were gone, but I got a pic of the seat with the label so I'm going to google the company.

I love the Ultimate. I couldn't take the stock seat more than an hour at a time. Now I can ride about six before i begin to feel any thing uncomfortable. Then it's just a little walk and a good set of calf stretchs an I'm good for the next two fillups.

Have an '04 Roadstar. Was having the same discomfort with the stock seat. Took the seat to a local upholstery shop & they added 1/2" or so of padding & also trimmed the back of the seat & put a small lip in it to force rearend down in the seat. He reinstalled the factory cover. Made all the difference in the world & I can now ride for several hours & it looks like it came that way from the factory. Probably not as comfortable as one of the high dollar seats but it was well worth the $10 they charged me. I also added a backrest that helped considerably. Week later, I had them add the same padding to the passenger seat.

Re:Oh my achin' a......... 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I ordered an Ultimate seat Friday. Said I would have it in around 2 1/2 weeks. Can't wait to get it. Took a short ride this morning (150 miles) and my butt was killing me the last 20 miles or so. Don't understand why they put such thin seats on the roadie since it is made for touring also.
