Check those tire pressures 4 Months ago
|
|
Thought I felt a difference in my ride. Took a lot more effort to lean into a turn. Been doing it since I had my Baron's spring installed several weeks ago. All of a sudden I said to myself - self you need to check your tire pressure as it's been a whil;e. Sure enough - front tire was down to 25 lbs Rear was 28. I don't think I check them since buying the bike back the end of May.
Learned my lesson. Hope someone else learns from my experience. Bike handles much much better now.

I find that 25/28 is a really good pressure for stump pulling and riding on the beach And, yes, I check every two weeks...mine were down a few punds this time and usually they are dead on...could be the new tires, who knows?

Check the recommended tire pressure for the tire. If you have the stock tires then 38front, 40 rear
I have metezlers and they are 42 front and rear.

Funny how this is coming together. I just checked mine this AM (headed up to the mountains of NC this afternoon) and they were down, too. I put 36 in the front and 41 in the rear. (I'm a big boy) but I am running metz 880's and I didn't know about running 41 front and back. Is this a good idea? I am not sure anyone ever told me to run that high in the front. Where can I see that info?? anyone know?

If you have the ME880 then look at the side wall if will say max tire pressure 42lbs front AND rear.
If you go to the website they tell you it's very important to run at the proper pressure for the longevity of the tire.
