Feeling Good! 3 Years, 9 Months ago
I was riding home from work today, traffic was fair, going about 30-35 MPH. I noticed a car in the right hand lane and something told me to be careful. As I was comming up along side of this car I could see that the driver was a little old lady, early 70's I guess. When I made it up right along side of her she smiled, every bit of seven teeth, of which four were in her pocket. Then she suprised me with a THUMBS UP SIGN. I waved and passed her and felt good the reat of the way home.

Any one else have something good happen?

Stan

Heh.... I'm brand new to all of this, and got waved at by a grizzled ol' biker going in the opposite direction, on my way home from work. It made my day...

Yeah... It's still cool, though. I do it in my Jeep all the time, when passing another Jeep. The difference is, most of the younger crowd that buy Jeeps have no knowledge of, or respect for, tradition and heritage, so most of the time, I wave and get ignored.

Bikes and bikers are the shiz...

Don't wanna jinx anything, but the Roadie must be loving this summer heat we're having in Atlanta. It's running like a top and seems to be happy all the time.

I suppose since the former owner didn't ride her much she's happy to be seeing the countryside. We've seen about 6500 miles since this time last year. I don't know if that's a lot or a little, but every mile has rolled under the wheels with a smile on my face.

I owe a great deal to the many fine folks on here who have unselfishly shared advice, opinions and tips. Getting to know my Roadie would have been much more difficult and less of a breeze without this site. I'm honored y'all let me keep logging in and asking dumb questions.

Here's hoping the good luck continues!

Had a Harley roll up beside me on my commute this morning (around 6), an older guy, and we had a brief but cool chat at the stoplight.. real friendly like, as opposed to some of the dorks out there who don't recognize a Star as a motorcycle....
