Bike running bad! 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Bike has been running bad for couple days sounds like exhaust is sucking on decel. Pulled plugs and changed them, they were solid white on tips (to lean). Carb was at 4th clip pms out 3 rounds with min 170 jet so I dropped to 5th clip pms at 2 1/2 turns. Seems to have helped performance a great deal and sucking sounds are gone just have to wait a while and see what plugs look like when I check them again any thought's from Ya'll would be appreciated.

If the bike is running well and then all of a sudden run 'bad' then the first thing to suspect is the gas. It's not uncommon to get 'crap' in the gas.

This assumes no drastic changes in weather, elevation, mods, etc.

It deffinately ran better when real hot 100 degree's etc had to run choke out too long in my opinion also. I barely have to use it now even in the morning I only pull it out part way for just for a min and bike runs good. Always seemed weak on Hwy but not now, I'm not a MC mechanic by any means and this whole jetting thing has been trial and error for me.

I'm confused ....

- Really hot weather - need to use choke for a long time
- Cooler weather - don't have to use the choke as much

Nothing changed but the weather .... doesn't make sense.

Or are you taking about before and after rejetting?

Yes Before Had to Use too Long, Now not long at all. Sorry I didn't explain it to well. The Plugs being white on the tips said too lean to me so I richened it up some. Seams to run Great now whether in the heat of the day or late at night when cooler.
