Sweet spot 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Was just wondering what your bikes "sweetspot" is. What I mean is at what speed does it seem to run best. I know highway and in town speeds will differ but ...none the less. Mine seems to run effortlessly at about 80 mph. The exhaust note seems to just hum right along and not over work the motor at all. I ran cross country at that speed for 3 days with no issues at all.

I toodle. Never any long distances. Rarely use 5th. Not very often I even go faster than 50. Lots of 35 to 45 mph stuff between 3rd and 4th on New England back roads.

I've hit the stock rev limiter 2 or 3 times in the past year, 3,400 miles.

It's almost all sweet!

I may try the fuel pump elimination trick without replacing the inlet valve in the carb. I figure if anyone's a candidate for that mod, I am.
