What is the reason I don't need to use the choke or just very little on the first start of the day? it has been high 90 here would that make the difference

Same down here in St. George, RoadieSL. I don't need the full choke as much in the hotter temps. Like JW said, warmer weather means a slightly richer mixture. You'll need it big time when colder weather comes.

If you do not need the enricher when it starts cooling down you may want to check and see if it is seating all the way when in the off position. It seems alot of folks have had to trim down the control knob. There is an article on it in the Tech section here...Coug

I'm stock and still trimmed 1/4 inch off my choke knob before it seated completely.

Yea... funny you should mention that about the stock choke knob; I have been thinking that mine seems to not be all the way in sometimes. Seems that my bike idles somewhat higher than normal. I have adjusted the idle knob yet I am not always sastisfied with the results... hummm.... I will have to take a closer look at that choke knob.
