I know that you guys probably get tired of answering the same questions, but here goes anyway.
I looked in the tech articles, and did not find an ais removal for the 07 Silverado. Is it the same as the 99-04? I live in CA if that makes a difference.
Also what advantage is there to removing the ais? I am getting ready to install Khrome Werks slip on's, an am wondering if the bike will run better without the ais. Thanks |

Use the 04 directions and if you have a California model there are directions for that too. Removing it will help cut back on decel popping. |

If you have annual inspections for emissions, you more than likely will fail them with the AIS removed. |

I thought thats why they put the ais on for emission state reqired ? I would check before removing it |

The AIS is to meet EPA regs for importation.
I seriously doubt the testers even know what an AIS is or would notice it isn't there. As long as the right numbers come out on the test I think that's all they care about. Or I could be completely wrong.  |

Your are completely right...the AIS just burns any after stuff that is in the exhaust..but what is more important to the emissions test to begin with is carb adjustment's... proper jetting etc ..
if you get good mpg and yer not blowin black or blue smoke you will probably be OK on any up yer tail pipe TEST..

It will make the bike illegal in CA, bit as far as I know CA does not require smog checks for bikes.
