rear spring vs. front spring 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I installed the Barons 930 rear spring. I like it much more than stock. I'v noticed occasional "twitchiness" in hard turns - almost feels like I'm loosing traction - but maybe I'm being paranoid.

Anyway I'm thinking having soft stock spring up front with stiff rear spring probably isn't the best formula for handling is it?

And if not I would imagine Barons makes a similar spring to mathc front?

You could try heavier fork oil. 7 weight maybe.

Musky,

I like your idea. How tough is it to change out fork oil? You have to disassemble forks right?

When I installed the Barons rear shock, rear end is noticiably higher. So I'm thinking I'm out of balance. Could just be in my head. I'm a fairly experienced rider though I haven't been roding last 9 years. But I'm getting my sea legs back and darn if every once in a while I feel a little squirrely when hitting a turn hard.

I installed the 1000lb spring on the rear as my 350lbs would bottom out the stock one at times.I also installed Progressive front springs as the stock springs are very light coils. It made a world of difference and I stiil have the original fork oil all I had to do was remove a little as the heavy progressive springs displace a little more fluid when you install them.Really helped with front end brake dive that I did not like.

That's correct ... it not an optical illusion.

I see I said Barons rear shock - meant spring. I don't see a corresponding Barons front spring so looks like my only option is one of the progressive. How tough a job is it to swap out front spring?
