What Kind of Exhaust do you have? 3 Months, 1 Week ago
What kind of exhaust do you have on your Roadstar and how would you compare it to your buddies exhaust? There has to be an exhaust system out there that "Just sounds like it was made for the Roadstar". Any suggestions?

I have V&H Longshots and I cut the baffles in half to tune the note a bit. I love the sound and I've had Harley guys tell me it sounds better than there harley. Pretty cool if Ya ask me.

I have HK 3" big straights. My Harley friends didn't believe a yamaha could sound like that. I like the way they sound. Everyone I ride with wants me to ride in the back.

Don't know if you'll find what you are looking for from this. One man's "that sounds awesome" is another man's "that sounds like crap". You need to hear them. Check perhaps on youtube for some idea (even though it is not the same) or find some riders in your area where you can hear them.

I have V&H short shots, they sound very good. My older brother has the V&H pro shot 2 into 1, he likes the sound of mine. He will not come right out ansay it, but I think he likes the sound of mine better.

I have a pair of Khrome Werks slipons slash cut. A Harley buddy of mine says mine is louder than his. He is very surprised how good my Road Star sounds. They still have some of these at $100.00. www.khromewerks.com My signature picture currently shows stock pipes.

Cobra Speedster Slashdowns, nice rumble, great bark when you get on it, but mellow enough not to upset the neigbors or LEO when needed. My only issue is that I scrape them a lot when riding 2 up!!!
