Hard krome strippers 4 Years ago
I purchased a new set of Hard Krome Stripper pipes 2.5 and Cobra Jet kit on a friday.I had my local Yamaha shop install the pipes and jet system..Three days later I notice that the plates on the end of the pipes that connect to the engine are rusty and peeling with a yellowish color to it..My dealer called Hard Krome and they agreed to send a new set of pipes..Well, I received the pipes 4 days later and when the shop opened the box , we noticed that the plates on the replacement pipes were discolored and rusty also..My dealer told me that they would send it in one more time, but what I want to know if this is normal? Do all pipes come with this look? I'm trying to chrome my bike out(2005 Roadie) , but the first thing that people point out is the spot on the plates..
What do you think I should do.Reund? exchange again? upgrade?
Any help appreciated.

Dave

Sounds like a bad batch from Hard Chrome. I would not accept it.

Had the same thing happen -- we went through 5 sets and could never find one where they had cleaned the weld area before it went to chroming. Finally gave up and went to Roadhouse Dooleys.....Have not once regretted it.
