Thx Musky, appreciate the follow-up. I am also pushing 6'4" with long legs, sounds like the extensions may be a good add-on. Heck this bike rides so comfortable that it feels like a recliner on wheels , may as well get the legs stretched out some. Still try'n to get the bike comfortable and look'n good (my bike is also a white R*, they look so darned good anyway ! Heck, I just got rid of a 1936 Dodge Brother's Coupe with a Plymouth 383 in it because it was a money pit, looks like I just found something else to spend money on!

like i posted earlier, if you do make the extensions, drill all the holes in line.

the first set i made were as to the plans in tech, but i found that they dropped the `heel´ of the board lower than before. all in line gains ground clearence and a bit more advance, and with your height would be a bit more comfortable.

shame we can´t get titanium sliders for under the boards for nighttime fun

(now someone from the e.p.a. is gonna jump on me)

I must be a midget compared to you guys. I had to get a riser just to sit normally on this bike without riding on top of the gas tank....

I want to get more ground clearance but I am only 5'7", with a 31" inseam. Sounds like I need to be over 6' tall to entertain moving the footpegs around.

Anybody relatively short out there try this mod?

Adjusting the shock seems like a quick tweak to verify the setting on and make adjustments to without cost.

Post edited by: BertsBane, at: 2006/10/25 11:16

My favorite ride from here is into the Blue Ridge mountains .The S turns going up and down the mountains get pretty tight but I no longer scrape as I have worn the floorboards down quite a bit as we ride at night and see who can kick up the best rooster tails .I love blowing past the Goldwings as they change their coffee pots or t.v. stations or whatever ,but I just wave at the crotchrockets as the blow past me ...Coug

Good deal PL. I'm going to twist on my rear shock a bit. I ride up a 6 story parking garage and with a set of Cobra Lowboy Shotguns, so add dragging my boards, and I'm setting alarms off all the way up (not that I mind that much ). I'm usually loaded down with Racquetball gear and two laptops, but at 6'3" and 236, I might can afford a bit more of a firm ride.

Post edited by: Tbone21, at: 2006/10/25 15:20

Like yer idea of titanium sliders--may be we could make them otta some kinda flint material

But we would need DOT certification over here the USA and Canada

I had hockey last night so I missed the game.

Let's see how they do on Thursday at home. May be an interesting game in light of what happened on Tuesday.

I thought the only ice down south was in the sweet tea.

At least the Thrashers are doing OK.
