just so they have wide whites

They do.....!!!! That's what I put on mine.

Maybe I've posted it somewhere before.... but..... I have nearly 9000 miles on my Metzler's and the front tire still looks good. No cupping at all. Rear tire may go another 2,000 before I have to replace it, but I've yet to see the wear bars showing yet.

Once they need replacing, I'll go back with another set.....

Gotta love `em.....

Re:Metzler 880 tires 3 Months, 1 Week ago
I read awhile back (here at RSC) that people were having problems with the ME880's that were made in Brazil. So I had my last tires replace with the Michelin Commander. I really feel (literally) that they give an awesome ride. The set I replaced was the Metzeler ME880. Now, I really did like the set no doubt about it. But I was and did plan a trip from Texas to North Carolina and didn't have time to find a Metzeler that was not made in Brazil. The problem was not just limited to the white walls from what I read. Any of you guys have a recent set of Metzeler's made in Brazil? If so, how are they holding up? I would consider going back to the Metzelers if they cleaned up their quality control in Brazil.
