On the road... 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Today, I rode about 66 miles. I rode from Shelbyville, TN, to Murfreesboro. I had some things to do there, and then headed across town to the dealership where I bought the Bruiser, and then headed back across town, back to the highway, and home again. Altogether, it added up to 66+ miles. My total gas bill for August, so far, is twenty-three dollars and change. Hahaha... I love it!! :whoohoo:

Really good ride... Hotter than two gerbils makin' whoopie in a wool sock, though!!

A friend of mine asked me what it felt like, being out there on the road... How to describe the difference between being on four wheels versus being on two? After driving the Jeep for so long and being used to its weight and handling, the motorcycle feels like I'm flying! I crank the throttle on the bike, and WHOOSH!!! Instant speed!!

Cornering is so sweet on the bike! No rocking or having to worry about taking a regular corner too fast; just lean, look through the turn, and give it throttle through the last quarter of the turn... It's like, wherever I look with intent, that's where the bike goes.

I ride IN the Jeep. On the bike, it feels like I'm PART of the machine! It's the same feeling that fighter pilots describe, when they talk about feeling like they've become one with their aircraft.

I fired up the Heep this evening, because I had to make a quick jaunt to the store. It was nice to have music, to be able to look around while driving, and that sort of thing. After riding the bike though, the Jeep felt clumsy and slow.

Glad you had a great ride. I am with you, my gas bill dropped drastically when I bought mine. Of course, I parked my van and moved to the roadie for everywhere I go now. My son and I rode our bikes last night around Chattanooga, the weather was so nice, we really hated to come home.

Ride safe ...

Chattanooga is some pretty country, too... Nice to meet another Tennessean, even if I am a transplant...
