Get a set of Avon Venoms... can't beat'em! But if you don't want to do that, balance & air pressure as the others have said.

Mine was the steering head bearings, I was told I noticed it quickly because of the fairing. I see you have one also. You might have that tightened and see if it helps. It did mine.

Hey Java, did you do your stearing bearing or did you have the "stealer" do it. I had taken my fairing off the other day and put back on the windshield with a minor but i think noticable difference. The fairing is going back on today as I really miss the look and protection.

Is there a quick test I can do to check it or is it best left to the professionals. I don't wanna muck up the stearing.
Thanks for your input.

Raise the front end, grab the tire with both hands and yank up and down .... you should not feel any looseness.

Point the wheel straight ahead and let go ... the front end should fall to one side. If it hits with a huge bang then it may be too loose.

There is a process outlined in the manual for properly tightening the front end. That being said ... I've like mine just a bit tighter than spec (I have a raked front end).

If the tread patterns are really different that might cause it too.

I had the dealer do it. I lifted the bike off the ground and centered the wheel, it stayed straight. I also jerked up on the tire and didnt feel anything so I took it to the dealer. It adjusted the steering bearings and now its perfect. I couldnt tell it was loose, but he did. I am fortunate that I have a very good dealer here in town. Sanders Cycle if you are ever in the area.

One would think the dealer wouldn't but two different compounds on, but we are all human! This would possible cause it.

Make sure that the arrows on the tire are pointed to the forward direction. I bought a new RS 6 weeks ago, and the bike wobbled. A friend found that arrows on the front tire were aimed in the reverse direction. We took the wheel off, turned it around, and put it back on. Problem solved.
