A helmet saved my life and a seat belt saved my daughters life(twice). I'm curious how many non-helmet guys out there have ever been in a serious accident riding. Probably not too many. If just running around the block in the neighborhood might go without the helmet.. when drying off the bike or getting a quick check after maintenance to be sure no leaks, before a real ride.. If you crash and break your spine / neck and you end up bed ridden for the rest of your life are you left out in the cold with no financial support also because you weren't wearing full body armor? Why draw the line at helmets? Please explain this thinking.
