General rule of thumb is 2" below eye level. Reality is whatever works best for you.

Re:Windshield Adjustment 3 Months ago
I just keep looking at mine in the garage collecting dust. When i run it in the winter (rainy season here in Cali.) it is right at the level of my lips. I actually had to cut mine to size as even on the lower setting it was still to tall.

Re:Windshield Adjustment 3 Months ago
Ok, thanks for all the replies. I'll continue to mess around with the adjustment, but most likely the current setting is about as good as it is going to get. It seems like the wind hits the very top of the helmet and under the right conditions it can be a little jarring on longer rides. Am I correct in assuming that those of you who look over the windshield also experience a little buffeting? If so, I'll call it good and move on. Definitely not a big issue, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a special way to set the windshield up to correct the problem. Thanks.

It might not be over the shield. It might from under. Lowers might help your problem.

I have a good set of lowers (Bucks) and I have pretty well eliminated that as a source of the buffeting. Using my hand I can feel the air flowing over the top of the windshield and just skimming the top of my helmet.

I hate to admit this, but I've never ridden my R* without the windshield. I've been tempted to pull it off a couple times, but just haven't done it yet. However, when I look at all the dead critters on the windshield, I know their cousins are out there waiting to be splattered all over my chest and that tempers my desire to remove the windshield.
