New 2007 3 Months ago
I bought a new 2007 Roadstar from Sky Powersports in Lakeland, FL. he had a Warrier 2007 for $8500 in the cycletrader. I went to look, but the Warrier was too small (I'm 6'4" and 280). So I asked about the RS. He had five 2007s, all midnights. He wanted more, but I bought it at $8500, no dealer fees.
Great deal and great price if anyone "needs" one.
I have had it just over two weeks, 520 miles (Hey, we had a freakin hurricane and it rains in FL every summer afternoon. The trip home was 130 miles.
LOVE my new bike. My first big twin, my last bike was 20 yrs ago, a Honda CB650.
Only things I don't like are the bars being too far away/low and pushing it out of a parking space (MAN, is it heavy!) I looked at bars, but most are SHORTER (high) than stock. Too bad, I like the beach bar look. Guess it is 4" risers. I feel like I lean forward and highway bars would have me bent in half! Can you just buy the riser parts? I really like the stock riser cap.

Onrecess. "...my last bike was 20 yrs ago, a Honda CB650." That's a familiar story with a lot of us. Got out of riding because of family, or what have you, only to ride again after what seems like eons. As far as the risers go I'm looking for some different ones myself. Gonna keep the stock bars but maybe get 4' pullback risers. I'm sure someone here has the setup you're looking for.

I had the same problem put the medium Yami risers on with stockbars and every thing is fine. No cable or line changes but the front brake line is tight. Just loosen the banjo a little and it will be fine.

Great deal on the R*, you're making me proud saving all that dough.

And the medium risers worked like a charm for me as well. Put me right where I need to be with no other mods. required. We bigger guys need a little extra chrome between the bars and the top of the forks to get the feeling just right.

Enjoy your new ride!

I installed 4 inch risers with 2 inch pull back from Rivco products. Cables worked great.

I'm 6'2+" and got the 4" risers from Pro-One, 1.5" pullback. Hits me just right and I was able to keep the stock riser cap. Lots of good choices out there Onrecess.
