Cemetery Escort Duty thread 3 Months ago
Is anyone else having trouble responding to that thread...? I can't leave a reply there for some reason, and haven't been able to do so since it was initially posted.

I wanted to comment that it is very true, "Some gave all - but all gave some" and, as the story illustrates, this certainly pertains to those left behind on the home front as well....

Try using the "quick reply" function.

I did Roadie, tried that as well as all the others, but can't get in... everything takes me to a blank page that simply says "done" at the bottom. I have tried with both Safari and Firefox as well.

Don't know what's up but it won't let me post a reply there and that is a first for me on this site.

That's how I was able to add my last 2 posts on there. And, LC ... that USMC avatar suits you to a "T".

(It still works that way, too. It's just not the way most are used to posting - a small box opens in the block that click the 'Quick Reply' button in between the end of that post and the sig pic. Try right here and see how it works. Hope that helps.)

Yeah I can't either. So I will leave it here.

Great post. I love reading stories like this. I would like to point out though that Canadians,British and many other countries have also given a great deal to the cause of peace and continue to do so.

Thanks for reminding me Helmut... I wanted to comment that indeed, the Canadians and others, have given and continue to do so, a great deal, just as Americans have... good point.

I am French Canadian as well, and over the years as I travel to Quebec to spend time with my mother it is often during November when they celebrate Canada's Veterans day and it is a big deal to them and especially the WWII time period.

This is a beautiful story and thanks for posting it. I couldn't get on to the thread to reply either, so I'm glad this side thread popped up.

That's exactly what happened to me when I tried to reply to the helmet thread a couple of nights ago. Must be gremlins in the software. I just tried to reply to the cemetery thread and got the blank page too.

couldnt reply either, but I wanted to say thanks to our service men and women whomever or wherever they come from. Also, for me the story points out that we are sometimes in to big of a hurry we need to sit back and look and listen more often. Fifty Yet

Sorry I'm just getting back to you, had to run out and tend to some business. The problem should be corrected now.
