Picked up a Harley on the way home 3 Months ago
Setting at the red light where the I-10 offramp met the highway, watching a bike coming down the ramp.

A woman was riding solo, as she came to a stop, her front swayed back and forth a little and just as she put her right foot down, the bike had leaned to far.

She sat her down on the engine gard, the light turned green and I rushed over there (in my truck ) As I got out she was already thanking me, knowing she couldn't pick her up. (nice full dressed Harley)

I couldn't resist the fun of saying I ride a Roadstar but I help you pick up your Harley. She laughed, we picked her up, and she said, "It doesn't matter what you ride, I've been riding all sorts of bikes for 30 years and this is the 2nd time I layed one down, too bad she's only got 400 miles on her".

I said her bikes a beauty and to be safe and she thanked me again and said, "Go home, get out of that truck and get on two wheels, it don't matter what it is".

I looked around at all the cars and trucks and just smiled knowing I helped out a two wheeler

Nice of you to help.............my Wife rides daily , I know if she needed someones help , that a rider (even those that drove the truck/car that day) would probably be the first to help. Lots of us out there , doing the right thing....... BB

Bravo Zulu, Scubber. You should've made a date to ride together sometime.

I have to say I loved the title of your thread, made me think you changed sides (not a bad thing) I stopped at a accident one day of a gold wing that had to lay it down or get hit they were both ok but the medics wouldnt let us pick up the bike. Thought it was a little strange. Fifty Yet

It didn't even slide on the asphalt, she gently layed it down and we picked it straight up. Very, very mild marks on the chrome engine guard.
