Re:Picked up a Harley on the way home 3 Months ago
I fell off last saturday, i had gone to Wright Patterson AFB, to see the AF museum, getting on the base is all security and id. checks, but leaving is a straight shot out the gate, as i was almost clear of the guard shack, the security guard started to run toward me yelling for me to stop. in this day and age i tend to listen to armed guys, so i cut the bars to the left and jammed on the brakes, the bike stopped its forward motion just as the crash bars hit the ground a split second later i hit the ground. seems he wanted to advise me of the base policy on bikes, helmet, long sleeve shirt, reflective gear at night

At least you could help her out she wouldn't have got it back up without help. I dropped my HD and the guards kept it from going over not a scratch on her. Way to go helping out a fellow rider..

You got me! I've also picked one up. He was drunk as a skunk. It was like 3 am. His boot was trapped under the exhaust, Lucky I was there as the leather was heating up fast. MC

Way to go! I would have done the same thing, and also showed her how to pick up the bike. After laying mine over twice, I'm a professional at it.
