Yamaha customer service 3 Months ago
When the man from Wisconson sued Yamaha and won, he posted on another roadstar site that Yamaha records all conversations called to their customer service. I told my lawyer to request the recordings and guess what. You guessed it they don't have it. They said it's a random thing. I bet if the calls were to benefit yamaha they would be glad to share em.

I know a lot of companies that do random recording Law. And most companies guard that type of thing pretty closely, so not sure what your saying here.

I'm sure if I said something on the phone that they could use against me in a court of law it would be front page news.

Yeah thats what pisses me off, you try to put your faith in someone and in reality you need to CYA. When I call a customer service next time for what ever reason I will tell them that the call will be recorded for when they try to SCREW ME OVER!

Law, I totally understand your frustration over all the things you have been through. We have all been following along with it. But not every problem on a R* can be traced to SVS or low oil levels, and not everyone is going to have an unsatisfactory experience with Yamaha's customer service.

We know you did. And we are paying attention to how things are going for you.

Good luck

Thanks Gram, I know all roadstar problems don't start with svs. I'm just saying God help you if you do get it. Untill yamaha resolves this I'm going to shout it from the highest mountain and the clinic to me is mount everest when it comes to this bike. Don't worry I'll keep you all informed on my progress.

Good luck with Yamaha. I have dealt with them twice and on both occasions I got no satisfaction. My first case was my rear wheel. The race became loose in the hub. Just slightly over 1 year and 2 weeks and they told me there was nothing they could do because I was past my 1 year warranty. I told them that the hub had to be defective as this type of incident is not normal and was obvious the damage had started prior to my 1 year warranty. It didn't matter to them they don't care.
Second case was a battery purchased through the dealer while on vacation. Left me stranded the next day. Contacted Yamaha Customer Service was told that if I bought a battery it holds no warranty. I could drive out the door stop a block away and if the battery is bad! well that's too bad for me. Even though I was still 412 miles from home and stranded they didn't care. I could go purchase another battery and take it up with the dealer that I purchased it from. Yeah right I'm going to go back 600 miles out of my way cause I was sold a bad part? I don't think so! I even told Yamaha Customer Support that next time I buy a motorcycle it will be a harley. I know they stand behind their product!!!

Re:Yamaha customer service 3 Months ago
hardone 2 get, nice bike, looks awesome! I hate to come off as a hate monger but I have been through the ringer over this thing. A year watching everyone else ride and still making payments, and I have to keep up the insurance and tax bill!! I always look to see if it's a rodie when I'm driving in my car. Great bike for the money but the business end is not what I expected. Yamaha could have given me a new motor when this all started and all would have been great. Now I have a lawyer and I'm not giving up. Ride safe and injoy what you have. Oh p.s. Pop rivet, nothing mechanical is bullet proof and I did expect more than the 2500 miles I got before problems came about.
