Best Helmets 3 Years, 9 Months ago

Ok the subject of helmets I know was a heated one but this has nothing to do with that. This is truly a serious question! What I want to know is this? I have worn a helmet on occasion but it is very hot here in Arizona and my head sweats terribly. Is there a small beanie type helmet that has enough ventilation to keep your head cool. I'm not looking for guess work here. I need people who really have a well vented helmet and what brand it is. And how well it works for you if you live in a hotter climate. If I can find one, then I would join the helmet wearing crowd.. Did I say that?? Yes I guess I did!!!

I have ridden in scorching heat for hours with my advanced composite helmet and the ensolate lining does a good job of absorbing any sweat you might have and keeping your head fairly cool even when the shell is roasting from the scorcher

The best helmet was a carbon fiber one. Very light weight and strong. My dog pulled it to the floor of my garage and took it under the car. My wife ran it over while backing out. It shot across the garage with a bang. Still intact. only minor scuffs. I will still get a new one when I start riding again. They say you should replace it after a hit or drop. make sure it's DOT approved or your wasting your time IMO.

I have a carbon fiber "polo style" helmet, similar to what BB's wearing in his sigpic. I'm amazed at how much sweat the interior wicks away. It doesn't have vents, though, which would also help.

I live in AZ too, around Phoenix. I honestly wear a helmet in the summer. I wear a 3/4 face. You wouldn't believe the difference. You would think it would roast ya, but the face shield actually blocks the furnace heat and is more comfortable than not wearing one. I wear a full face in the winter, because it does sometimes get in the teens or twenties in the early morning and that provides the best cold protection for me along with a face mask. When its nice is when I don't always... blah bla

Ok I got BB to at least give me a brand that he wears. But I still have yet to see a vented helmet. Is there no one that makes a helmet that has vents and still a small helmet. Is there no one out there wearing one or know someone who is?
And TopGun trust me I had already thought about the drill thing for my helmet!!!ROTFLMAO

I've personally never seen a small vented helmet ,HO2G. Plenty of half-helmets that use venting , but they ain't small. BB

Stepping lightly here....
I've got 2 helmets. One for everyday use that's a modular one. Another that I use when I go to PCB, FL and the average speed is like 14mph due to all the bikes.
At speed...the modular one pictured is actually cooler than the other one. It's got engineered vent ports that shove air in where it's needed plus if you crack the clear visor ever so slightly you get another breeze to boot. Maybe the smaller helmet would be cooler if I wore it running at highway speeds, but that's not what I bought it for, so I don't know.
And fellows, that's my entire comment on this topic.
